How to prepare the pallet for shipping to Spain?

Do I need to deal with customs when shipping a pallet from the UK to Spain?

Yes – if you send a pallet to Spain, it’s treated as an export from the UK and an import into the EU, so customs formalities apply on both sides.

You, or your carrier/customs agent, must complete a UK export declaration and provide the haulier with the correct paperwork: that’s the trader’s responsibility under UK guidance.

Can I send an engine or gearbox to Spain?

Generally, yes, but most carriers require them to be completely drained, cleaned (with no residual oil or fluids), and secured on a pallet.
